Responsibilities
For our client, a financial institution located in the top ten banks in the country, with a national presence of more than 25 years, we recruit Head of Project Portfolio Department
Main Responsibilities
• Manages the project portfolio budgeting process, ensuring its alignment with the Business Plan and Digital
• Transformation Agenda, building up alternative portfolio scenarios as base for decision making process
• Identifies and organizes the project proposals received from all business areas, understanding the processes and challenges and define transformation initiatives to enable faster adoption of new tools and ways of working
• Coordinates multidisciplinary team drawing up the Business Cases (Cost Benefit analysis, KPI, etc) for agreed project proposals
• Establishes a network of trust with the stakeholders and promotes change through innovative Change Management approaches and methodologies
• Drives vendor evaluation and selection for new solutions demonstrating expertise and knowledge of various aspects of procurement
• Identifies and solves dependencies and conflicts within the bank's projects portfolio and engage with senior managers and conduct reviews to validate and assess the project portfolio, execute change, and reprioritize to meet business needs as required
• Monitors evolution of the Bank's project portfolio and prepares projects portfolio reporting based on information collected from the project teams & stakeholders, including post implementation outcome analysis
• Provide specific analysis and presentations to Top Management to support the Change Management decision process
• Provides specific support whenever requested on project management methodology within the Bank
• Ensure governance of the project lifecycle and be instrumental in advancing the change practices, develop communication materials, refine methodologies, advance skillsets, provide mentoring and coaching for others and support the development of change management skills the organization
• Directly supervise the department team members, execute their annual performance review and define the personnel training roadmaps
Required Skills
• Knowledge of the Romanian banking market, products and services
• Relevant banking experience
• In depth knowledge of project and project portfolio management standards, methodologies (Waterfall and Agile) and tools
• Extended project/project portfolio management experience
• Relevant team coordination experience
• Very good understanding of projects financials and budgeting process from creation to execution
• Very good skills and experience in negotiation, delegation, leadership, and relationship management
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels within the organization; strong inter-personal and influencing skills
• Very good written and oral English language
• Proficient in MS Project, Visio, MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Project Management, Project Portfolio Management, Change Management certification will be considered a plus
